Special Events at Hansel Hill Farm
Seasonal Celebrations, Farm-Style Magic

At Hansel Hill Farm, we believe community is something you grow—just like a garden.
Throughout the year, we host a variety of special events that bring families, friends, and neighbors together for meaningful connection, playful traditions, and unforgettable farm experiences.
From spooky hayrides to spring chick rentals, yoga with bunnies to adult day camp, each season offers something unique. Whether you’re a returning guest or discovering the farm for the first time, we can’t wait to welcome you to one of our signature events.
What to Expect
No two events are the same, but they all include that special Hansel Hill mix of warmth, nature, and hands-on fun. Depending on the season, you might find:
Hayrides around the farm
Marshmallow roasting at the fire pit
Hands-on animal encounters
Farm-themed crafts
Pumpkins, planters, flowers, or honey to take home
Delicious add-ons like coffee, treats, or seasonal goodies
Themed experiences for kids, adults, or the whole family
Many of our events are ticketed, while others are free and open to the public.

Special Events: FAQs
-
Some are, some aren’t. Ticketed events typically range from $10–$15 depending on what’s included. Free events like our farm Play Days are open to walk-ins and don’t require registration.
-
For ticketed events, yes—advance registration is encouraged and sometimes required (especially for limited-space workshops like yoga or day camp). For large seasonal events like Halloween, walk-ins are welcome.
-
Pets are welcome at select events (leashed, please). We typically note this in our event listings. Keep an eye out for our pet-friendly Play Days!
-
We do! Past partners have included Annapolis Yogi, Guardian Rescue Academy, Vocelli’s Pizza (our party and event favorite with a 30% discount for Hansel Hill guests), and other local businesses. We’re always open to new collaborations—just reach out.
-
Yes! Our volunteer program includes everything from on-site help during big events to behind-the-scenes support. If you’re interested in volunteering, let us know. We offer training and community perks for returning helpers.
In addition, most of our volunteer opportunities happen during the week, with adult volunteers welcomed on Tuesdays and teen volunteers (ages 13+) joining us on Friday mornings.
Please note: the farm is closed to the public during volunteer hours. This is dedicated work time, not a play day. Volunteers should come ready to get their hands dirty and their hearts full.
Volunteer Guidelines:
Closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a refillable water bottle are required.
Volunteers will help with a variety of farm tasks, which may include:
Plant and animal care
Cleaning and maintenance projects
Light construction and repairs
General upkeep around the farm
At this time, the work is not suitable for children under 12 due to safety and task requirements.
If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and be part of something meaningful, we’d love to have you!

Most of our events run rain or shine, with covered areas available. For extreme weather, we’ll post updates on social media and contact ticket holders directly with any reschedule or refund information.
But we love welcoming guests to the farm year-round, and most events are rain or shine. After all, animals still need feeding and fun still happens in boots!
However, safety is always our priority.
In the event of extreme weather (including heavy rain, high winds, or nearby lightning or thunder), we will work with you to reschedule your event or issue a full refund.
If both your party and the farm team agree that the weather poses a significant issue, a mutually agreed-upon cancellation will qualify for a 100% refund.
For birthday parties and private group events, we always offer the option to select a preferred rain date at booking, and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate that if needed.
