Adventures, Badges, and Farm-Fueled Fun

A One-of-a-Kind Setting

Whether you're planning a scout badge workshop, a team-building day, or an unforgettable overnight, Hansel Hill Farm offers a one-of-a-kind setting for youth groups, schools, and community organizations. Our farm is a living, working experience where kids can learn, explore, and connect with nature.

We’ve welcomed Girl Scouts, BSA troops, universities, preschools, private schools, and nonprofits of all kinds. We’re happy to help you customize your visit to match your group’s goals, badge requirements, or curriculum.

Plan Your Visit

We offer both weekday evening visits, typically for an hour, between 5-8pm as well as Friday night overnights, each designed to be flexible, affordable, and full of interactive learning.

All visits include:

  • A private hayride

  • Hands-on animal encounters

  • Use of our pavilion with tables, lighting, and restrooms

  • A warm, welcoming environment with guidance from our team

For overnight groups, we also include access to our yurt—a cozy, heated, electricity-equipped space that sleeps up to 10—and space for additional tents.

Friday Night Scout Overnights

Camp under the stars while learning life skills in a safe, semi-rustic farm setting. Scout overnights include:

  • Private yurt lodging with room for up to 10 scouts

  • Pavilion with grill, fire pit, bathrooms, and kitchenette

  • Animal visits and badge-related activities

  • Evening hayride and lightning bug catching

  • Optional marshmallow roasting and farm crafts

Groups typically arrive between 4:00–6:00 pm and check out by 9:30 am the next morning.

Payment Policy & Options

To reserve your spot for any Hansel Hill Farm event (whether it’s a birthday party, school visit, scout overnight, or seasonal celebration) payment in full is required at the time of booking. If you would like to establish a payment plan, please contact us here.

Refund Policy

Life happens, and we understand plans sometimes change. Here’s how refunds work:

  • 100% refund if canceled 30 days or more before your scheduled event

  • 50% refund if canceled 14–29 days before your event

  • 25% refund if canceled 5–13 days before your event

  • No refund if canceled 4 days or less before your event

If you need to reschedule due to an emergency, we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Weather Policy

We love welcoming guests to the farm year-round, and most events are rain or shine. After all, animals still need feeding and fun still happens in boots!

However, safety is always our priority.

  • In the event of extreme weather (including heavy rain, high winds, or nearby lightning or thunder), we will work with you to reschedule your event or issue a full refund.

  • If both your party and the farm team agree that the weather poses a significant issue, a mutually agreed-upon cancellation will qualify for a 100% refund.

For birthday parties and private group events, we always offer the option to select a preferred rain date at booking, and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate that if needed.

Scouts & Community Groups: FAQs

  • We’ve worked with Girl Scout troops, Boy Scouts, local school clubs, nonprofit youth programs, universities, and more. If your group is looking for a farm-based adventure or a space to earn a badge, we’re happy to help design something just right.

  • Our yurt sleeps up to 10 comfortably, and there’s room for additional tents nearby. Most scout leaders bring their own tent and sleep just outside the main group to give scouts more space and independence.

  • Your group will have access to the pavilion (with tables, chairs, lighting, and Bluetooth speakers), fire pit and grill, bathroom, and a small kitchenette with electricity and a mini fridge. The yurt is also equipped with electricity and can be heated if needed.

  • We do not stay overnight with groups, but we help guide the early part of the evening with farm activities and badge support. Leaders are responsible for supervising their scouts at all times. We’re always close by if you need help or have questions.

  • Yes! Our most popular options include a flashlight hayride, catching lightning bugs, and marshmallow roasting around the fire. We love helping create a magical evening under the stars.
