School Visits at Hansel Hill Farm
Bring the Classroom to Life With a Day on the Farm

At Hansel Hill Farm, we turn education into an experience.
Our school visits bring learning to life, giving students the chance to connect with animals, observe nature up close, and understand where their food really comes from. Whether your class is exploring life cycles, sustainability, or simply needs a joyful day outside, we’ll help you create a memorable, curriculum-aligned field trip.
We welcome students of all ages—from preschoolers discovering their first baby chick to college level students diving into pollination and food systems.
A Day On The Farm
Each visit includes time with our animals, a private hayride, and the option to enjoy lunch right here at the farm. Some groups stay for a simple tour and picnic, while others dive deeper with a hands-on activity tailored to their classroom focus.
We regularly explore topics like:
Animal care and life cycles
Beekeeping and pollinators (to include a bee-suit experience)
Gardening, composting, and sustainable farming
Beneficial bugs, invasive species, and the impact of pesticides
Tractor safety and equipment maintenance
Let us know what your students are learning—we’ll customize the day to match.
Group Size & Scheduling
Most school visits last 2 to 3 hours, depending on your schedule and whether you're staying for lunch or an add-on activity. We recommend limiting your group to 100 guests total (students and adults combined) for the best experience.
Safety Comes First
All adult staff are background checked, and every group receives a brief safety orientation when they arrive. Adult supervision is required at all times, and farm rules are clearly posted to help keep everyone safe.

We don’t currently offer downloadable resources, but if you’d like ideas for classroom tie-ins or reflection activities after your visit, we’re happy to help. Our homeschool programs do include structured materials, so we have experience supporting learning beyond the farm.
