Summer Camp At Hansel Hill Farm
Unplugged, Outside All Day & Full Of Wonder

There’s Nothing Quite Like Summer on the Farm
At Hansel Hill Farm’s summer camp, kids spend their days outdoors—exploring the land, helping with real farm chores, learning through play, and making memories that last far beyond August. This is not your average camp. It’s fresh air, muddy boots, honest work, and big smiles—just the way summer should be.
Our program is built for children who love animals, nature, and hands-on learning. Campers aren’t just visitors here—they’re part of the rhythm of farm life.
Who It's For
Our camp welcomes children ages 4 to 12. We also offer a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program for teens ages 13 to 15 who are ready to take on more responsibility and leadership. At age 16, former CITs are eligible to apply for paid counselor roles.
A Day In The Life Of A Camper
Each morning begins with real farm chores: collecting eggs, feeding the animals, watering the gardens. Campers learn how to care for chickens, pigs, goats, and even honeybees, and they take pride in being part of something meaningful.
The day continues with guided lessons in nature and sustainability, farm-themed crafts and science activities, and plenty of time for free-range play, scavenger hunts, and good old-fashioned dirt-under-your-nails fun.
We keep things cool with an unlimited supply of popsicles on hot days—and lots of shady places to rest and recharge.
Camp runs Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 3:30pm, with optional before and after care available.
Camp Size & Staffing
We keep camp intimate, capping each week at 40 campers, so every child gets the attention and guidance they need. Each group is led by our team of 4 counselors, plus 2 adult leads—including Farmer Brian himself.

Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program
For teens who want to step up and help out
Too old for camp but still want to be part of the fun? Our Counselor-in-Training Program is designed for teens ages 13–15 who are ready to take on more responsibility, learn leadership skills, and support younger campers throughout the day.
Only 6 CIT spots available per week
Must be at least 13 years old to participate
CITs are part of the full-day camp (9:00am–3:30pm), and are expected to arrive 15 minutes early and stay 15 minutes after camp ends each day
CITs work closely with counselors and Farmer Brian to learn the ropes of farm-based education, safety, and fun
It’s a great stepping stone for future farm counselors—and a meaningful way to stay connected with camp even after aging out. Many of our counselors got their start as CITs—and they’ll tell you it was one of the best parts of their summer.
Our CIT program for 2025 is still available and registration is included in the general summer camp form below.

Summer Camp: FAQs
-
We’re used to farm life in all kinds of weather. Camp runs rain or shine, and we adapt activities accordingly. Kids will stay comfortable under our pavilion and other covered areas if the weather turns stormy.
Please send them dressed for the day’s forecast—with a change of clothes just in case.
-
Campers must bring their own lunch, snacks, and water bottle. When the weather is hot, we provide an unlimited supply of popsicles!
-
Every camper should bring:
A packed lunch and snacks
A full, refillable water bottle
Comfortable clothes that can get dirty
An extra set of clothes depending on age and activities
Sunscreen (applied at home + packed)
We recommend labeling everything—things do tend to wander when you’re busy chasing chickens.
