FARM DAY CAMP
One Full Day of Hands-On Farm Life
Spend the day experiencing life on a working farm!
Hansel Hill Farm's Farm Day Camps are single-day agricultural agritourism programs that give young farmers an opportunity to learn about agriculture through hands-on participation in farm activities.
Every Farm Day Camp is a little different because every day on a farm is different.
Depending on the season and the work happening on the farm, participants may collect eggs, feed and care for animals, work in the garden, plant or harvest crops, explore the orchard, learn about bees and pollinators, compost, investigate soil and insects, and practice other agricultural skills alongside our farm team.
A DAY ON THE FARM
Our day begins with one of the most important parts of farming: chores.
Participants help with age-appropriate farm activities such as checking animals, collecting eggs, feeding livestock and poultry, watering crops, inspecting gardens, and observing what has changed around the farm.
From there, the day's agricultural lesson and activities are built around the season and current farm operations.
A fall day might focus on harvesting and orchard crops. A spring day might involve planting and pollinators. Winter programming may explore animal care, soil, seeds, food systems or preparations for the upcoming growing season.
Agriculture provides the experience — the farm provides the classroom.
WHAT YOUNG FARMERS MAY EXPERIENCE
Farm Day Camp activities may include:

• Planting, cultivating and harvesting crops
• Garden and orchard activities
• Beekeeping and pollinator education
• Composting and soil health
• Agricultural pests and beneficial insects
• Sustainable farming practices
• Agricultural products and food systems
• Seasonal farm chores
• Hayrides and farm exploration
• Farm-based projects connected to the day's agricultural lesson
Activities vary based on weather, season, crop availability and the needs of our working farm.
LEARNING BY DOING
Farm Day Camp isn't about watching farming from the sidelines.
Participants learn through active involvement in age-appropriate farm activities. Our goal is to help young people understand how farms work, how food is produced, how farmers care for animals and natural resources, and why sustainable agriculture matters.
AN AGRITOURISM PROGRAM AT HANSEL HILL FARM
Farm Day Camp is part of Hansel Hill Farm's agricultural education and agritourism programming.
The program is conducted on our working farm and is centered on agricultural education, agricultural products and skills, natural resources, and hands-on participation in farm activities.

Payment Policy & Options
To reserve your spot for any Hansel Hill Farm event (whether it’s a birthday party, school visit, scout overnight, or seasonal celebration) payment in full is required at the time of booking. If you would like to establish a payment plan, please contact us here.
Refund Policy
Life happens, and we understand plans sometimes change. Here’s how refunds work:
100% refund if canceled 30 days or more before your scheduled event
50% refund if canceled 14–29 days before your event
25% refund if canceled 5–13 days before your event
No refund if canceled 4 days or less before your event
If you need to reschedule due to an emergency, we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
