🌻 Summer Camp Counselor
Hansel Hill Farm is hiring Summer Camp Counselors to join our core team. Our camps offer a supportive, community-centered environment focused on outdoor play, farm learning, and connection.
We’re looking for dependable, kind, energetic people who love working with kids and feel comfortable spending their days outside.
Requirements
Must be at least 16 years old
Valid driver’s license and own transportation
Prior experience working with children (babysitting, school, coaching, childcare, etc.)
Comfortable being outside all day
Applicants 18+ must pass a background check
Reliable, adaptable, and able to work as part of a team
Camp Dates
June 22–26
July 6–10
August 3–7
August 17–21
Counselors are expected to arrive 15 minutes before camp begins. Some days may allow for early departure depending on duties and staffing needs.
Responsibilities Include
Supervising campers and supporting daily activities
Helping facilitate games, farm experiences, and group learning
Assisting with end-of-day cleanup
Bathroom checks and restocking supplies
General camp support to keep things running smoothly

🌻Homeschool Educators
Our Homeschool on the Farm program lasting 10-weeks offers hands-on, nature-based learning where children explore academics through animals, gardening, farm projects, and outdoor play. Activities include farm chores (e.g., feeding and brushing animals, weeding) and kids are given a brief lesson and a related hands-on activity, such as learning the plant life cycle and planting a seed to take home.
We’re hiring Lead and Assistant Educators to help guide Little Lambs, Busy Bees, and FIT groups in creating meaningful, experiential learning rooted in community and sustainable farming. Lead teachers are responsible for collaborating to create an hour’s worth of activity structured to a theme relevant to farm and sustainable farming. All positions must be comfortable in an outside setting and working with children. All positions must able to pass background check for ages +18. Positions are paid or available to be bartered in exchange for homeschool tuition.

Little Lambs
Level: New to the Farm/Beginners
Ages: 3–5 years (approximate)
Focus: Foundational farm learning with a gentle, very supportive structure. Parents stay and help guide.
Mondays: 11:30 am–12:30 pm (Starts March 30th)
Thursdays: 11:30 am–12:30 pm (Starts April 9th)
Busy Bees
Level: Beginners
Ages: 5–8 years
Focus: Foundational farm learning with a gentle, supportive structure.
Mondays: 1030 am–1230pm (Starts March 30th)
Thursdays: 1030 am–1230pm (Starts April 9th)
Farmer-in-Training (FIT)
Level: Beginners
Ages: 8-12
Focus: This mid-level program is for learners ready to engage in more complex instruction and tasks.
Mondays: 10am – 1 pm
Thursdays: 10am –1 pm
🌻Junior Farm Hands
Junior Farm Hands support the daily work of our farm through hands-on outdoor tasks like moving mulch, pruning grape vines, cleaning chicken coops, working with hydroponics, basic animal care, and general farm maintenance. These roles welcome varying skill levels — no prior experience required — but applicants should be comfortable working outside all day, able to work independently, use tools safely, and operate heavy machinery like a tractor. Ideal for motivated self-starters who enjoy physical work and learning new skills on a working farm.

🌻Beekeeper at Hansel Hill Farm
We’re seeking an experienced beekeeper to help maintain our on-site hives (approximately 6 total). This role includes regular hive checks, ensuring mites are treated, confirming supers are properly placed, and supporting overall hive health. Applicants must have beekeeping experience, and provide their own bee suit (all other equipment is supplied).
Bonus (not required): be a member of AABA; comfort assisting with educational moments for children—bringing small groups to the hives, showing hive components, and explaining basic beekeeping concepts.
Ideal for someone who loves bees, values responsible hive stewardship, and enjoys working in a community farm setting.
